Do something unique while in Senegal! Learn or improve your djembe, djun djun, sabar, and Senegalese talking drum skills in Dakar.
Of course, you can always take drumming lessons in your hometown. But if you want to get away from it all and immerse yourself in the rhythm and blues of The Motherland, welcome to SenegalStyle!
Oversized drums and custom-made percussion instruments were our specialties, and SenegalStyle djembes were the best in the business. Today, our drums are certified collector's items. When you conduct a search for "SenegalStyle djembes!", you're going to be amazed. I still am! We made some great drums!
I'm retired now but I don't want people to forget the 'Art of the Drum'. It's important to keep our artists working and relevant in these times when people prefer to watch someone else playing drums on TikTok or other social media sites rather than learning to play themselves. Thus, I offer a supportive environment and a professional drum school for artists and enthusiasts. The best students will have an opportunity to play as guest drummers at gigs and local performances!
We welcome participants from 16+ who are mature, friendly, and drug & alcohol free!
