COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho (CBS2) — The body of a man who drowned in Lake Coeur d'Alene over the weekend has been found.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says the victim was in a boat when he fell into the water Sunday afternoon. The man, who was not wearing a life jacket, was unable to make it back to the boat and was unable to grab any life jackets that were thrown into the water by people in the boat, according to a news release.
Deputies say he was found Monday afternoon in about 11 feet of water and 200 yards from shore. Police say the man had been drinking and was possibly intoxicated.
The victim has been identified but next of kin has yet to be notified.
"Our condolences go out to the family and friends," the sheriff's office said.
